Jubilee at Hawks Prairie

Are you an active adult looking for a community with amazing amenities? Then read on and check out Jubilee at Hawks Prairie.

Jubilee is an active 55 plus adult community that is located in Hawks Prairie, Lacy Washington. This community really is an amazing community and has a lot of really amazing amenities.

Let’s start off by getting an overview of where Jubilee is actually at. Jubilee at Hawks Prairie is close to Olympia, the Puget Sound, Tacoma, and about an hour-ish to Seattle and the Sea-Tac Airport, and two hours to Portland and its airport.

One of the highlights of living in Jubilee is the closeness to The Golf Club at Hawks Prairie, as it sort of surrounds a good portion of the community. The Golf Club at Hawks Prairie consists of two distinct public 18 hole golf courses, The Woodlands and The Links.

Not only does the neighborhood have a 2.3 mile walking trail, which I’ll cover more at the end, but Jubilee is close to Billy Frank, Jr. Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge, which is a 762 acre protected estuary with trails and an education center and birds, and whale watching opportunities.

There’s also Tolmie State Park, which is just an eight minute drive away. Tolmie State Park is a day use park that has 1800 feet of saltwater shoreline with an underwater park that was built by and is for scuba divers. There are three miles of hiking trails within the park, which takes you through an estuary ecosystem, saltwater marsh, and forested land. There are also five mooring buoys for boaters to tie up and stay overnight on their boats for a moorage fee.

Jubilee is about 10 minutes from Costco, WinCo, Cabela’s, and the Hawks Prairie Village Mall Shopping Center, which has food and shopping options. There are many other restaurants in this area.

There are also several wineries in the area. Stottle Winery is less than a five minute drive, and Medicine Creek is about 12 minutes away. It’s about 15 minutes from Providence St. Peter’s Hospital and Downtown Olympia. And two additional golf courses within 20 minutes or less, as well as several others in the Olympia area.

This video is going to give you an overview of the neighborhood and the amenities. Just a few highlights, but I will be doing a few additional videos to have a full tour of each section of the neighborhood so you can get more details.

Construction began in 2004 on the 55 plus community and continues today, as of the recording of this video. The variety of builders over time have offered buyers different home plans and design options. It is not a gated community. There will be approximately 1,120 homes in the community at the completion of the builds.

The community is broken down into different areas. Bainbridge, Camano, Vashon Glenn, Mercer Crest, Clark’s Landing, Cypress Cove, Pearl Crossing, Orcas Ridge, Fox Run, Anderson Pointe, Whidbey Passage, Woodland Cove and Eagles Bluff.

Homes in the community are primarily single story with a few two story homes sprinkled in and with the smallest plans being one bedroom, two bath at 1083 square feet, and the largest at four bedrooms, four bath at 3,415 square feet. The average home in the neighborhood is a two bedroom, two bath with a square footage of 1,788.

The most recent sale at the time of this recording was March 16th, 2023. It was a two-story, three bedroom, 2.75 bathroom, 2,518 square foot home, located in the Eagles Bluff section of the neighborhood, and it sold for $815,000.

Let’s talk about the amenities. One of the highlights of the community is the resident only community lodge. It’s located in the Bainbridge area of the community. The 26,000 square foot Lodge is a multipurpose clubhouse that has a state-of-the-art fitness center with a variety of fitness classes, an indoor pool and spa, an expansive living room, large ballroom, library, billiards room, game room, meeting rooms, and more.

There are over 80 clubs and groups available to the community groups like hooks and needles, photography, bingo, bridge, bunko, different book clubs, billiards, culinary clubs, garden clubs, dancing, golf clubs, dining clubs, and many, many more. They have Van-go trips where you basically meet up with your group and head out to different events or areas in the state, like the Centrailia outlets or the Queen Mary Tea Room, for example.

You can find out what the upcoming activities are for the coming month on the community website, as well as in the Jubilee connection, which is the community magazine. This community magazine is available online on the website, as well as printed copies that are available in the community center.

So let’s talk about what’s included in your monthly assessments. Items that are included in your monthly assessments are front yard landscape maintenance, access to the fitness center, as well as the exercise classes, the Lodge coffee bar, indoor pool and spa and sauna, tennis courts, pickleball courts, horseshoe pits, Bocce Ball, and Petanque Courts, which is the French version of the Bocce Ball.

I mentioned the Hawks Prairie Trail at the beginning of the video, I wanted to show you the map of it. It’s 2.3 miles long and it’s relatively flat until near the end where it slopes down to the private beach.
